Terms of use

Version 2026-09-15 · Mochi practice

This is a practice site for children in Years 4 to 6. It is not run by, connected to, or

endorsed by any school, examination authority, or the people who set the real selective schools

test. The practice papers here are written for this site. Nothing on it is an official past paper.

How we handle information is set out in the privacy policy, which sits beside these terms and

is worth reading — it says exactly what is collected, where it goes, and how long it is kept.

1. Tell us the truth

When this site asks you something — your age, a parent's email address, who you are — **you must

answer truthfully.**

Nearly everything here is decided from what you tell us: whether you need a grown-up's permission,

whose results a parent can see, who is allowed to unlock an account. **If what you tell us is not

true, those decisions will be wrong, and we are not responsible for what follows.** We cannot check

an age or an email address; we can only act on what is entered.

2. If you are under 18

You need a parent or guardian. You will be asked for their email address, and **your account stays

locked until they unlock it.** Before they unlock it they are shown exactly what is collected about

you. They accept these terms as well, they can see how you are getting on, and they can lock the

account — or delete it entirely — at any time.

A parent can also make a profile for a child directly. When they do, they are agreeing to these

terms on that child's behalf.

3. Talking to the pet — nothing you say is kept

The pet listens only when it is tapped, and only while it is listening.

We do not keep any recording, and we do not keep a written copy of what you said. What you say

is sent to be scored for pronunciation and to be answered — both in Sydney — and then it is gone.

What we do keep: pronunciation scores, what the pet said back, which question it was, and when.

The pet is not a person and it is not help in a crisis. If something is wrong, tell a grown-up

you trust. If you need someone now, Kids Helpline is 1800 55 1800, any time, free.

4. Practice is practice

Scores here say how someone did on these papers on this day. **They do not predict a real exam

result**, and nothing here is a promise about selection, placement or any other outcome.

5. Free while it is in open beta

While the site is in open beta it costs nothing: coins and pets are earned by practising, and

there is no advertising.

It will not always be free. We may introduce charges once the open beta ends. If we do, we will

say so clearly before anything changes, and whether you carry on will be up to you. We will not add

advertising, and we will not sell anyone's information.

6. The site itself

It is provided as it is. It may change, break, or stop. Please do not rely on it being available,

and keep your own record of anything that matters to you.

7. Getting in touch

Reply to the email your sign-in codes come from. A parent can download or delete a child's records

themselves, from the parent portal, without asking.

_Accepting these terms records the version above, your account and the time. If they change in a

way that matters, you will be asked again._
