A cute pet that helps you work it out
Here's a real question, as a preview of how Rex guides you through it. It never just gives the answer: it asks, and nudges you to the next step.
Marisol has 7 packets of stickers with 12 in each, and puts 5 stickers in every party bag.
How many bags can she fill, and how many stickers are left over?
- A) 17 bags, 1 left over
- B) 16 bags, 4 left over
- C) 16 bags, 5 left over
- D) 12 bags, 4 left over
- Explains the question in kid-friendly words
- Guides you step by step, so you find the answer yourself
- Once it's marked, shows exactly what you missed, and why
Nothing you say is kept. No recording, no written copy, because what you say is scored for pronunciation, answered, and gone.
Meet the crew
Earn coins as you practise and pick your own study buddy, with eight to collect, each with its own voice. Whichever one you choose becomes the pet that coaches you.
Four ways to practise
Thinking Skills
Arguments, patterns, puzzles and diagrams of the tricky, twisty kind.
Mathematical Reasoning
Problems in words, not sums on a page. Read it, picture it, crack it.
Reading
Original passages written just for this site, including stories, poems and facts.
Writing
Stories, arguments and reports. Write to a prompt, and your pet gives real feedback.
The three timed sections work paper by paper: score 80% or better and the next paper pops open; below that, the same one comes round again, with the answers and a helping hand. Writing is yours to explore any time, with no pass mark, just a prompt, a timer, and your pet reading it back with feedback on what worked and what to try next.

Questions people ask
Can anyone sign up?
Yes. Anyone under 13 needs a parent or guardian to unlock their account before it does anything, and from 13 a student can sign up on their own.
Are these real past papers?
No. Every question here is written for this site. It is not run by, connected to, or endorsed by any school or examination authority, and nothing here predicts a real result.
Where does the data go?
Speech scoring and the pet's replies are processed in Sydney. The server is in Sydney. Email goes through a mail service overseas. It is all set out in the privacy policy.
How old does a child have to be?
It is built for Years 4 to 6, roughly 9 to 12, but younger or older is fine, because the papers are the papers. Under 13, a parent or guardian unlocks the account; from 13, a student can use it on their own and name a parent to follow along if they like.
